Students attend our first ELL STEM Academy:
Students from the district’s English Language Learners program participated in the first ELL STEM Academy at the High School on Feb. 1. Facilitated by Morrison Mentors, students used 3-D doodlers to create prototypes and created CAD models, which are a digital representation of a product or object created using computer-aided design (CAD) software. Throughout the program students will have the opportunity to learn about more advanced topics like computer programing and coding.
The ELL STEM Academy will take place every Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Wyandanch Memorial High School until the end of May.
