Wyandanch Scholars Attend “Men Leaders Paving Paths” Conference at Stony Brook

Scholars from Milton L. Olive Middle School and Wyandanch Memorial High School recently attended the Long Island Latino Teachers Association’s Men Leaders Paving Paths for Young Men conference at Stony Brook University. This inspiring conference brings together accomplished professional men from a wide range of fields to share their educational journeys, career experiences and advice for future success. Speakers represented diverse professions, including the arts, education, social work, medicine, health care, science, technology, communications, journalism, law, sports, politics and business. Through their stories and guidance, students were encouraged to pursue their goals, complete their secondary education and consider the many pathways available through college and career opportunities.
“We are grateful to LILTA and the conference presenters for sharing this time with our scholars,” Assistant Superintendent for Administrative and Instructional Accountability Dr. Christine Jordan said.
