At Lafrancis Hardiman Elementary School in Wyandanch, scholars learned how even the smallest gestures can have a ripple effect, contributing to a more compassionate and connected world.
In honor of World Kindness Day, an international event observed annually on Nov. 13., scholars participated in SCOPE Enrichment Programs that focused on this year’s theme, Spreading Kindness: One Small Act at a Time. Activities included writing kindness cards to share with others throughout the day and discussing ways to be kind and how small acts of kindness can make a big impact.
Initiated in 1998 by the World Kindness Movement, it is celebrated across various countries, including Australia, Canada, and the UAE and aims to inspire individuals to practice acts of kindness, no matter how small.
