Two scholars from Wyandanch Memorial High School were invited to participate in the first in-person Long Island Regional Student Forum. Class of 2024 valedictorian Carlos Diaz-Sanchez and junior Kyvena Calal joined students representing high schools across Long Island to share their thoughts and ideas about important issues that impact their schools, their communities and themselves.
The information collected during the forum will be shared with the New York State Education Department for consideration when discussing and planning future education policies.
